OUR SOLE STORY
The idea for Socks Got Sole was born in 2016 during a visit to a friend’s house. Her little girl had been to nursery that day wearing lovely white socks. However, after running around all day without shoes, the soles were completely filthy.
I watched as my friend scrubbed, soaked, and washed the socks, trying her best to remove the stains. Despite all that effort, the result was inevitable — the once-white socks were left with dull, dirty grey soles, which ruined their overall appearance.
That evening, I went home determined to find socks with darker soles that I could gift to my friend and give her, as a busy parent, one less job to worry about. After countless searches and coming up empty-handed, I realised there was only one solution…
I decided to create my own.
It’s a been a long journey getting to this point but the more I looked in to how much of an issue it was, the more people were excited by the prospect of dark soles on socks! I was adamant from the beginning that I only ever wanted the sole to be dark and not the rest of the sock. Firstly, it made them completely unique as there is nothing on the market quite like it and I didn’t want to just make the toe and heel dark as that doesn’t alleviate the problem; too often the heel pokes over the top of the back of the shoe and ruins the look of the sock and so... SOCKS GOT SOLE was born!
I have been working with various suppliers for some time; creating the idea, designs and samples until I could get to the point that we could take the socks to market.. and here we are!

Charity Initiative
THAT NEW SOCK FEELING
Here at socks got sole we are committed to giving something back so for every 100 pairs of socks we sell we will give 1 pair to charity. As we continue to grow we would hope to reduce the sold amount ratio and therefore increase the donated pairs. The recipients will change each time so that we can distribute socks to local schools, shelters, charities and care providers.
Too many children, homeless and those in need go without some of the basics that the rest of us can often take for granted, so our aim is to share that feeling you get when putting on a new pair of socks and give someone the gift of warm, dry feet. We’ll update our blogs and social media regularly so check back for updates.
